Tenerife Insider Tips .

Tenerife has a fairly stable subtropical climate, without major differences between the seasons. This is why Tenerife is often called 'Island of Eternal Spring'. As attractive as this nickname may sound, the presence of various microclimates on the island can sometimes unpleasantly surprise unsuspecting tourists.

But what exactly is a microclimate? Simply put, it concerns a specific area with different climatic conditions than the rest of the surrounding areas. For example, think of a lot of snow in the El Teide National Park (especially in winter, so pack warm clothes), while on the coast, just a 40 kilometer drive away, you can bask in the sun on the beach.
