Playa de La Enramada

At first glance, Playa de La Enramada may not be the most beautiful beach on the island. The beach consists of fine black sand, mixed with pebble and lava stones. Incidentally, this sand is extremely suitable for a natural peeling. You take a handful of wet sand, massage it over the skin, let it soak in for a while and then rinse it off in the ocean. A free Spa!

In general, the water is calm enough for a swim, but personally I often find it a bit difficult to get in and out of the water, due to the pebbles in the surf.

On this beach you will also regularly find bodyboarders in action, which is a nice spectacle to watch.

Not to mention the paragliders, which regularly land on the beach. There is always something to see at this beach!

Useful information about this beach:

• Location: Just before the entrance to the village of La Caleta
• Accessibility:   
  • By foot (also from the hotels in Costa Adeje; there is a beautiful promenade from Costa Adeje to La Caleta)
  • By car: There is a fairly large parking lot on both sides of the beach
  • By bus: The TITSA bus line 467 has a bus stop about 300 meters from the beach
• Sunbeds: 12,00 € voor 1 ligbedje met 1 parasol, 18,00 € voor 2 ligbedjes met 1 parasol
• Type of sand: Fijn zwart zand, gemengd met grind en stenen
• WC: deze hoort bij de strandbar Coqueluche, maar is tijdens de openingsuren van de strandbar vrij toegankelijk. Anders even de sleutel vragen aan het personeel van de bar.
• Showers: Niet aanwezig
• Wheelchair/pram accessibility: Het is mogelijk om over het aangelegde pad het strand te bereiken. Er is echter geen strandhulp voorzien voor mensen die niet, of slecht, kunnen lopen.
• Lifeguard: Dagelijks aanwezig van 10.00 tot 18.00 uur
• Snorkeling: Niet echt de moeite.
• Strandbar: Coqueluche Beach Bar (*). Een leuke strandbar met zeer vriendelijk personeel. Tikje aan de dure kant. In de namiddag, vooral in het weekend, speelt hier vaak een live band. 
• Sundowner rating:  Een geweldige plek om met een lekker drankje van de zonsondergang te genieten. Ik geef dit strand 4* .  

(*)Leuke inside info over deze bar: het witte gebouw links van de strandbar, nu een privé huis, was vroeger (ik spreek over midden jaren ´90) de originele strandbar Coqueluche, die werd uitgebaat door 2  Belgische dames (moeder en dochter, als ik me goed herinner).  Dat was destijds, vooral onder reisleiding, The Place To Be vanwege de bohemian sfeer.
