Light Park in Adeje

The Light Park in Adeje, formerly Chinese Lantern World, has been bringing light and entertainment to Adeje since February 2022. I've been to the park twice myself and think it's really worth it. Here's a little report on what to expect plus a few insider tips. insider tips.  

Accessibility

The park is highly visible, especially at night, and can be reached from exit 79 on the TF1- motorway to Adeje (from both directions). Don't worry about parking spaces, because right next to the park is a large parking lot. Not paved, so it can get a bit dusty.  

If you want to come by Titsa-bus , get off at the cemetery of Adeje (enter bus stop Cemeterio de Adeje on Google Maps). From there it is a 750m walk.

Another possibility is by taxi, depending of course on the distance from your departure point.

Opening hours

The park is open from 06:00 PM till Midnight, Tuesday through Sunday. Monday closed.

Insider Tips

Don't wear stiletto heels. Sturdy shoes or sneakers are a must. Although the upper part of the terrain is flat and fairly easy to access (also for wheelchairs and prams), the lower part is somewhat bumpy.

Also bring a small flashlight or a mobile phone with lantern function . It is quite dark in some places. This naturally benefits the effect of the beautiful light figures, but it is better to light up the walking path every now and then.

Come early. Not only is it nice and quiet, but the beautiful sunset is an added bonus

Bar/Restaurant Jardín del Dragón

Be sure to take a look at the large tent on the main site. Here you will find a very nicely decorated bar/restaurant. Here you can eat both tapas and a full menu. I personally think the drinks are quite overprized, but the food is not too bad in terms of price.

For old and young

The sculptures are beautifully detailed and arranged by theme. In any case, many beautiful photo moments! The background music finishes it off. All in all a magical trip, suitable for young and old. You can view my report on the Instagram of the website.
